The Singaporeans First Party (SingFirst) looks set on a return to Tanjong Pagar for the upcoming General Election.
SingFirst leader Tan Jee Say has been making the rounds in the constituency – his latest walkabout taking place last week at Tanjong Pagar Plaza Market & Food Centre.
On SingFirst’s Facebook page, the party said:
“Thank You Tanjong Pagar supporters for remembering us. We will definitely work harder to serve your needs!”
In GE2015, SingFirst won 22.3 percent of the popular vote in Tanjong Pagar GRC, against the PAP team led by current “DPM-in-waiting” Chan Chun Sing.
The upcoming General Election might pose a tough fight for Tan.
The Progress Singapore Party (PSP), led by his “arch-nemesis” from the 2011 Presidential Election, Dr Tan Cheng Bock, appears to be eyeing Tanjong Pagar as well.
The PSP’s first-ever party walkabout over the weekend saw Dr Tan personally visiting Tiong Bahru – located in Tanjong Pagar GRC – and even having a casual chat with the incumbent PAP MP Indranee Rajah.
