Change your driving habits, otherwise you’ll be made to pay price.
That’s what’s about to happen to drivers who frequently use the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway.
The Land Transport Authority says it is considering activatintg an ERP gantry at the tunnel entrance after the Tampines Road entry slip road.
That’s because of speeds during peak hour which have “persistently fallen below the optimal speed range of 45kmh to 65kmh for expressways during the morning peak hours on weekdays”.
The LTA said the gantry which has been built there hasn’t been activated up till this point, but it will
“have to see if people start using alternative routes and the situation changes” as it decides whether to make you pay more for your ride.
