This Mercedes E250 driver was spotted pumping RON97 petrol into containers at a petrol station in Johor Bahru, then storing those containers in the boot of his car.
The incident reportedly took place on Thurs (16 Feb) at the Petron station in Taman Pelangi, which is 5km from the Causeway.
It is uncertain whether the driver was storing the petrol for use within Malaysia, or intending to dabao it back to Singapore.
Drivers of Singapore cars are only allowed to pump RON97 petrol in Malaysia.
The ICA has provided little details as to the legality of consumer vehicles transporting containers of petrol from Malaysia to Singapore.
