Siao Lang Cries Bomb at Yishun McDonald’s

For a moment, some people believed that the McDonald’s outlet at Block 846 Yishun Ring Road was going to get bombed.

However, police who went to the scene found that the bomb threat was a hoax after they had completed security checks.

No “threat items” were found at the scene.

Officers were alerted to the bomb threat at around 10.30pm last Thurs (20 Apr).

A food delivery worker said that while police officers were inspecting the scene, customers were not allowed to dine in and only takeaways were allowed.

Police investigations into the bomb hoax are ongoing.

For communicating false information about a bomb threat, an offender can receive a jail term of up to 7 years, a fine of up to $$50,000, or both.
