A woman claims that she was a victim of a voyeur at the Virgin Active gym at Marina One.
The woman, Ms Lim, said that she finished her gym session and went to the take a shower, when she saw an “iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max” above the door of the cubicle she was using.
“The phone was gone in a flash when the culprit outside realised I’m alert that I was being filmed completely naked in the shower.
The incident is said to have taken place on 8 Mar at around 10pm.
Lim said that she was too stunned to react at that time.
Once she regained her composure, she reported the incident to the gym staff.
However, Lim said, the staff were not very helpful.
“The staff didn’t seem to believe me at first until I kept pushing the matter.”
Lim says the incident has left her traumatised and “unable to sleep at night”.
She has since lodged a police report.
“I’m totally disgusted just recalling the incident and I will never want to go back to Virgin Active until they catch the culprit.”
Virgin Active has apologised for the incident.
The gym says that it has reached out to Lim, and is cooperating with police investigations.
